Prayer...Does it make any difference?
If you have ever had a question or if you ever had to respond to other people's questions about prayer, this 5-week study gives clear insight into the importance God places
on prayer and why we should value it.
Our leaders: Holly Nash, Gretchen Voigt, and Pastor Mark will be leading a discussion about prayer using a DVD and Philip Yancey's book "Prayer Does It Make Any Difference."
We will explore such questions as: Is God listening? Why should God care about me? Why do so many prayers go unanswered? Why does God let the world go on as it does and not intervene? Does prayer really help with physical healing? Why does God seem sometimes close and sometimes far away? Does prayer change God or change me?
How can I make prayer more satisfying?
Our format will be to watch the DVD from Philip Yancey's book with discussion to follow.
The prayer class will be meeting for five sessions starting on Wednesday, October 23rd through November 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Pine Room at Church of the Pines, 415 Chippewa Street in downtown Minocqua.
Come and explore this great gift of God - prayer.
