MISSION IMPACT 320 Blessing Bags Assembled 1,920 Meals 8 youth volunteers 12 adult volunteers 33.25 hours of volunteer service |
On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, eight church youth, with assistance from twelve adult volunteers, assembled 320 Blessing Bags as a special mission project for Midwest Mission. The volunteers provided 33.25 hours of volunteer service assembling the Blessing Bags, which will provide 1,920 meals for people needing food. Thank you to Venus Hilgart, for organizing this special mission project!
Each Blessing Bag feeds six people and contains a vitamin pack, dehydrated vegetables, soy, and white rice. The rice and soy Blessing Bags not only meet hunger needs, but meet nutritional needs to provide lasting energy.
The packed boxes of Blessing Bags will now be taken to the Midwest Mission in Pawnee, Illinois, where they will be delivered wherever food is needed. When the Blessing Bags that were assembled here at Church of the Pines are shipped, we will be notified where they are being sent. So, stay tuned to find out where in the world our Blessing Bags will be sent!
