Thanks for stopping by! The 2019 Wisconsin United Methodist Annual Conference is especially important this year in light of decisions made at the United Methodist General Conference. Mark Gilbert (pastor of Church of the Pines), Sue Loeffler (lay leader to the Annual Conference), and Jonah Gilbert (youth delegate representing our church) are at the conference and they will be sharing their conference experiences, thoughts, and insights. Please check back often as they will be posting several times each day. ![]() "Annual Conference is more than just a big meeting. It's a great chance to reconnect to the larger United Methodist Church. I love the opportunity to spend time with other clergy and to hear how other congregations are seeking to serve God." - Pastor Mark ![]() "I have been a member of the United Methodist Church for 30 years, transferring my membership to Church of the Pines five years ago with moving to the north woods. I have an interest in the dynamics of the church beyond the "local church". This may come from my past career in management/administration; I am a retired RN with a MBA. My husband and I attended Annual Conference in 2015 on behalf of Church of the Pines. We found the experience to be interesting, educational, great for networking and overall quite uplifting. I anticipate more of the same this year and look forward to representing Church of the Pines." - Sue Loeffler ![]() "Hi! I'm Jonah Gilbert! I'm excited to be a youth delegate at Annual Conference. I usually go to conference with my Dad and the rest of my family, but never as a delegate. I am excited to experience the conference from a different perspective!" - Jonah Gilbert |
