We can let go of other parts of our lives, too, that hold us back. Maybe there's some judgment or an attitude you have that keeps you from knowing God's love. What do you need to let go of today? ![]() "I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me." - Revelation 3:8 As you go through life, it seem like doors open for us that shouldn't have. Some close that we wish would have stayed open. It's comforting to know, when God opens a door, no one can close it. Look for those open doors today. ![]() "[We] are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." - Romans 3:24 We all make mistakes. It's one of those unavoidable parts of life. Some people feel like that makes them broken. That's where shame lives, tellling us that we are unworthy of love and acceptance. Those who know Christ have a different option. They are made right with God. Now, the things we do might be wrong, but we are made right. ![]() "Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope." - Romans 5:3-4 Rejoice in suffering? If this phrase has you scratching your head, join the crown. But, when we look at the progression from suffering to endruance to character to hope, maybe this starts to make sense. Are you willing to endure some challenges to get to hope? ![]() "I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you." - John 15:15b There ar moments in life that words can't explain. Some of them are so amazingly good that we just couldn't say enough about them to fully describe them. Others are so awful that we don't want to even try. That's why we need friends who can read between the lines of our lives. Jesus is like that. Not because we can't say, be because he share all of himself with us. ![]() "Fear not, stand firm and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again." - Exodus 14:13 We have many choices in life. Two of those are easily within our ability. We can give up and let life run over us in unsepected ways. That's one choice. We can also just keep doing good. We willl still be surprised, but we have a promise of good coming back to us. Today, don't worry about all the things you need to do for the rest of your life to do good. Just take the next best step. ![]() "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up." - Galatians 6:9 We have many choices in life. Two of those are easily within our abiilty. The majority of their lives are spent growing into that one spectacle of color. We're like that, too. Sometimes we aren't at our best. That's ok. A time is coming for us to shine. Be patient. |
