Blessing Bags 2026
Working Together to Make a Difference What an incredible day at Church of the Pines! On April 8, our youth—along with members of the Deborah Circle and parents—came together in the Ministry Center for our annual Blessing Bags mission project. With energy, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose, 20 participants worked side by side to assemble 320 Blessing Bags… providing 1,920 meals for people facing food insecurity around the world. There is something powerful about this kind of hands-on ministry. Measuring, filling, sealing, and packing each bag became more than just a task—it became an expression of compassion, generosity, and hope. A heartfelt thank you to Venus Hilgart and Rosalie Widstrand for their leadership in organizing this meaningful project for the fourth year. The completed boxes will be delivered to Midwest Mission on April 20, where they will begin their journey to communities in need. Because of this day… someone will eat. |
