On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, eight church youth, with assistance from twelve adult volunteers, assembled 320 Blessing Bags as a special mission project for Midwest Mission. The volunteers provided 33.25 hours of volunteer service assembling the Blessing Bags, which will provide 1,920 meals for people needing food. Thank you to Venus Hilgart, for organizing this special mission project!
Each Blessing Bag feeds six people and contains a vitamin pack, dehydrated vegetables, soy, and white rice. The rice and soy Blessing Bags not only meet hunger needs, but meet nutritional needs to provide lasting energy.
The packed boxes of Blessing Bags will now be taken to the Midwest Mission in Pawnee, Illinois, where they will be delivered wherever food is needed.
Youth Package Rice Meals
On March 6th, the church youth gathered in the Ministry Center to assemble rice meal packets. The rice meal packets were taken to the Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Pawnee, Illinois (located near Springfield) to be distributed throughout the United States and worldwide, wherever there is a need for food. Thanks, kids, for participating in this important mission project. And, thanks also to Venus Hilgart, Sue Loeffler, Rosalie Widstrand, Sue Henning, Pastor Mark, and parents for supporting our youth in their mission efforts!
